FOYLE Search and Rescue have confirmed that it is currently searching the River Foyle after reports a person was spotted entering the waters this morning.
FSR is currently conducting a search operation of the river .
Police are advising motorists to expect delays in Derry this morning as a result of the incident.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Please be advised that the Foyle Bridge is currently closed to all city bound traffic due to an ongoing incident.
“Please avoid the area where possible and we will update you as soon as it reopens.”
