A MAN is facing prosecution for motoring offences after he was caught by police riding in a quad on a Derry housing estate.
He was spotted by police in the Galliagh area yesterday riding the quad with accompanied by a child as a pillion passenger.
PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Thank God, that is another one off the streets”
“The above is a direct quote from a Galliagh Resident.
“This quad was sighted travelling through Galliagh by local npt officers who were on foot patrol.
“An adult male was riding the quad with a kid as a pillion passenger.
“Thankfully the kid had a helmet on but regardless this behaviour is not wanted in the area.
“It was then subsequently located by Ballyarnett Npt mobile patrol who were contacted by radio and lucky enough to be nearby.
“The gentleman will be reported to the PPS for motoring offences in due course.”
