RALLIES have been held across Derry in support of the deaths over 60 Palestinians by Israeli defence forces.
Sinn Fein organised the protest at Free Derry Corner in Derry and also in Dungiven.
At Free Derry Corner Sinn Fein Councillor Sandra Duffy condemned the slaughter of Palestinians by Israeli forces.
“We need to raise our voices & Ireland needs to take a stand and expel the Israeli ambassador.
“Derry is with Palestine in its stance against oppression.”
She also called on Derry City and Strabane District to light up its building in support of the Palestinians.
In Dungiven, Sinn Fein MLA Caoimhe Archibald called on An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to “expel the Israeli Ambassador to Ireland formally recognise the state of Palestine”.
Other rallies in support of the Palestinians were held in Dublin, London and Belfast.
