DETECTIVES in Derry are on the trail of thieves who burgled two homes in Derry.
The break-ins happened at houses at Deanfield and Ebrington Park last Thursday, May 17.
Police have revealed that there were two burglaries at Deanfield, one house was entered and a second had a window broken in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Thieves made off with a handbag which has not yet been recovered.
Sometime between 3 am and 7.30 am on the same date, there was a further report of a burglary at a house at nearby Ebrington Park.
Police say a number of items taken, including a silver Vauxhall Zafira people carrier car.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Deanfield or Ebrington Park areas in the early hours of Thursday 17th May to contact them at Strand Road on 101 quoting reference number 187 17/05/18.
