DERRY City are to lose a second player on the back of Ronan Curtis signing for Portsmouth.
Scottish side Clyde have announced that Candy Stripe midfieler David Hopkirk has agreed to join the club.
Clyde said in a statement: 2The 25-year-old started his career with Hamilton Accies, where he made his senior debut as a teenager, before moving to Queen of the South.
“While at Palmerston Park, a successful loan spell at Annan Athletic led to a permanent move to Galabank in 2013.
“Hopkirk’s form at Annan attracted the attention of Dunfermline Athletic, who signed him in the summer of 2015.
“After two and a half seasons with The Pars, David made a switch to League of Ireland Premier Division side Derry earlier this year, but the move didn’t work out and he has now returned back to Scotland.
“David has agreed terms on a one-year deal with The Bully Wee.”
