HAWK-EYED police who spotted a motorist smoking a joint at the wheel of his car in Derry later uncovered a cannabis stash in his vehicle.
The suspect has now been charged to court following the incident in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “LPT officers were on patrol when eagle eyed officers spotted a male smoking a peculiar looking cigarette behind the wheel of his vehicle on the Rossdowney Road.
“A further search revealed further joints and two more bags of suspected cannabis.
“The male was arrested for Possession of a Class B Controlled Drug and Driving Whilst Unfit.
“After interview he was charged to court.”
