POLICE have launched an arson investigation after a fire which broke out in the Waterside area of Derry earlier this week.
The blaze erupted at an unoccupied three storey residential property on the Spencer Road (pictured above) at around 6.50pm on Monday, May 28th.
The fire then quickly spread to two neighbouring properties.
The Fire and Rescue Service sent four appliances to the scene, two from the Crescent Link Fire Station, two from Northland Fire Station and one from Strabane Fire Station.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire, which was dealt with by 9pm.
The Fire and Rescue Service now say that the cause of the fire appears to have been deliberate.
