Oakfield Park in Raphoe, Co. Donegal, is now open seven days a week from 11am – 6pm and one of its most popular summer events, the Teddy Bear’s Picnic returns to the park on Saturday 9th June.
Children are invited to bring their favourite teddy and check into the Teddy Hospital, where they’ll meet the Oakfield Teddy and his friends.
Children can also explore the park’s 100-acre wood, visit the Faerie tree and navigate their way around the new hedge maze, which officially opens this weekend.
The Teddy Bear’s Picnic promises to be a great day for all the family with train rides, music, crafts, free face-painting and much more. Families are also invited to bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens or pre-prepared picnics can be ordered when booking online – these can then be collected on the day from Oakfield Park’s Buffers Garden Restaurant.
Due to popular demand and limited parking space, this year’s Teddy Bear’s Picnic event requires pre-booking via www.oakfieldpark.com/events, (no tickets will be available at the gate).
Discounts are available for group bookings and for more information call the office on +353 (0)74 9173068 or email [email protected].
Meanwhile, Oakfield Park is set to launch its new hedge maze this weekend; Gold Pass holders will be the first to explore the new maze which is a great addition to the park.
Oakfield Park is open daily (June – August) from 11am – 6pm and the best and most efficient way to enjoy the park is to purchase an Annual Pass or Gold Pass. Gold Pass holders receive VIP access to the park, unlimited train rides and complimentary gifts.
