SINN Fein today handed in its submission to the Department of Justice review of anti-social behaviour legislation. Justice spokesperson Raymond McCartney said:
“Anti-social behaviour, whether it is vandalism, noise, on-street drinking, or dog fouling, blights the lives of many families and communities,” said the Foyle MLA.
“The laws for dealing with anti-social behaviour are not fit for purpose.
“Sinn Féin’s submission to the Department of Justice calls for stronger powers to deal with the hard core of persistently anti-social individuals who are also engaged in criminal activity, business and licensed premises that are causing nuisance and disorder, noise nuisance and on-street drinking.”
