DERRY City and Strabane District Council has announced that the Tower Museum is to remain closed for the rest of today, Thursday, July 5.
It follows an incident earlier today when the Fire Brigade were called to attend the premises at Union Hall Place.
However, the council have not released details surrounding the incident.
The council has said in a statement: “The Tower Museum will be closed today.
“Earlier the fire service were called to deal with a suspected incident.
“Whilst no damage or injury has been caused, the facility will remain closed today, as a thorough examination of the building is completed.”
