FIRE and Rescue Service crews at the scene of a fire at the former Foyle College in Derry.
People living within the vicinity of the blaze are asked to keep their windows closed because of the drifting dangerous smoke fumes.
The PSNI say: “Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service have asked us to pass on that anyone living in the vicinity of the old Foyle College site on Northland Road should keep their windows and doors closed due to an ongoing fire.
“NIFRS have informed us that the structure contains high level of asbestos and exposure to the smoke should be avoided.”
There has been ongoing incidents of vandalism at the disused site with residents reporting windows being smashed at the former college in recent days.
