POLICE are dealing with two suspect devices which have been left on the city walls in Derry.
DUP MLA Gary Middleton said the devices are near the Memorial Hall and that bomb squad teams are currently dealing with the situation.
The Foyle MLA said police had given assurances the devices will not affect the Twelfth parade in the city.
He tweeted: “The PSNI are currently dealing with 2 devices which have been left on the city walls near the Memorial Hall.
“ATO teams are dealing with the situation and PSNI have assured me that this will be cleared and will not affect the Twelfth parade.”
The incident follows five consecutive nights of violence in the city.
Last night fire crews were attacked in the city with further petrol bombs being thrown.
