POLICE in Derry say they are determined to crack down underage drinking in St Columb’s Park.

Officers on patrol yesterday evening seized a quantity of alcohol from a group of young people in the park.

An officer from Waterside NPt wrote on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page: “Beautiful night in the park 🐿tonight for everyone to enjoy ☺️ a few young people thought it was ok to bring alcohol and subsequently had it seized.

“We may seem like party-poopers to this small group but we are determined to keep St Columbs Park the safe and family friendly.

“Beautiful park that it is meant to be for ALL to enjoy.”
