Man arrested in Liverpool now at Strand Road police station being questioned about ‘serious violent offences’
Police in Derry say they were contacted by Merseyside Police after officers in Liverpool detained the man who had been wanted for arrest.
A police spokesperson said: “PSNI officers travelled to Liverpool and the arrested person is now safely in the cells at Strand Road police station.
“On a serious note, this person has committed a number of serious offences at separate times since last year and believed that removing himself to England would mean he would not face justice for his crimes.
“If you commit serious offences, you will be apprehended.”
