Man to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court sitting in Omagh charged with attempted murder and kidnapping
The 41-year-old has been further charged with kidnapping and causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving.
He is due to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Omagh, this morning, Friday, August 10 for a first remand hearing.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
It is understood the man was arrested earlier this week by Merseyside Police at the request of the PSNI in Derry.
He was later flown back to Belfast and taken to the custody suite at Strand Road police station for questioning in relation to what police described as “serious violent offences”.
