DERRY City suffered a huge blow in the race for third spot and European football on Friday – defeated by Waterford 2-1.
Waterford’s two first half goals through Dessie Hutchinson an Gavin Holohan was enough to grant the Blues three, well-deserved, points, despite Dean Shiels’ levelling the scoreline after a half an hour.
The defeat leaves Kenny Shiels’ side eight-points behind Alan Reynolds outfit.
