Tony was thrown back into Maghaberry prison after the then British Secretary of State Theresa Villiers revoked his release licence.
She had him recalled to the top security jail on the world of spooks in MI5.
His campaigners have called the case to be brought back before the sentencing judge so he can assess the reasons put forward by MI5 to revoke his release licence.
Speaking after attending a rally marking Tony’s 900th day in prison, the party’s leader on Derry City & Strabane District Council said:
“Tony Taylor’s ongoing detention is wrong and is an affront to democracy and the justice system.
“900 days after Tony Taylor’s arrest and subsequent imprisonment, the British government has failed to produce any evidence which could in any way justify his detention.
“Tony’s continued detention placing a considerable strain on his wife, family and parents.
“Sinn Féin will continue to raise this matter with both the Irish and British governments until Tony Taylor is released.”
