THE Western Trust has announced it is hold a special service this week for those bereaved through suicide.
It is being organised by the North West Bereaved By Suicide Support Group.
A spokesperson said: “We are holding a service of remembrance for those bereaved by suicide in recognition of the support provided by Foyle Search and Rescue.
“It will held at the Guildhall in Derry at 7 pm Wednesday, September 5.”
Many lives have been saved the selfless work of the volunteers at Foyle Search and Rescue who patrol around the River Foyle 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
