Nathan Logue (Boyle), a 24-year-old baker at Tesco, entered the water at Craigavon Bridge last Monday, September 3.
Members of the public along with volunteers of Foyle Search and Rescue had been conducting searches on both land and sea for the former pupil at North West Regional College.
In a message on the ‘Bring Nathan Home’ Facebook page this morning, his heartbroken family say:
“The funeral of our beautiful Nathan will take place on Thursday the 13th of September at Adair & Neely on Foyle Road at 11 am followed by a burial at Ballyoan cemetery.
“For anyone wishing to pay respects, Nathan will be waked from Adair & Neelys rest room from 9 am to 11 pm on Tuesday the 11th and Wednesday the 12th of September.
“Any enquiries can be directed to Adair & Neely,
“Many thanks,
“Nathan’s family.”
The PSNI in Derry say: “Nathan’s family have expressed their gratitude to all those involved in the searches and would ask for privacy at this time as they mourn the loss of Nathan.”
