A MAN was arrested at a Co Derry bus station after a member of security intervened to help police get him in handcuffs.
Video of the incident at Coleraine Bus and Train Centre has been circulating online and viewed by thousands.
It shows a man wrestling with police around the station on Monday afternoon as members of the public watch on.
The officers struggle to get the man to the ground.
As one officer attempted to restrain him by the arms he then breaks free and appears to throw a punch.
Seconds later a member of the station’s security steps in and body slams the man to the ground.
Police said a man was arrested on a number of offences and appeared in court on Tuesday where he was remanded in custody.
A Translink spokeswoman said: “The PSNI, assisted by station security staff, detained an individual engaging in anti-social behaviour at Coleraine Bus and Train centre on Monday September 24.”
