Speaking from Brussels, Mr Eastwood commented:
“The time to deliver on a deal is now. The North cannot be left to the fate of a reckless, no-deal Brexit.
“At this stage in the negotiations, it is vital that people do not look for problems where they don’t exist. This is not about the constitutional question.
“Anyone trying to stoke fears about constitutional change is being disingenuous and undermining what is truly at stake here.
“The only way the constitutional position can change is through referenda as laid down in the Good Friday Agreement.
“We need to stop the dramatics and get down to making an agreement that protects all of our people,” added the Foyle MLA.
