Residents and motorists being targeted with fireworks in Strabane

SINN Fein says it has received numerous messages from “fearful residents” in the Bridge Street area Strabane last night about homes and cars being targeted by fire-works.

Those involved are reported to be children and young teenagers.

A party spokesperson said: “These youngsters are not only causing great anguish to local residents.

“Many of whom are elderly, but are at risk of causing an accident and injury to others not to mention running the real risk of causing horrific injuries to themselves.

“Parents need to ensure that their children are not involved and should check where they are!”
