James Donegan (30), who was on remand, fled after being granted compassionate bail.
The PSNI said Donegan is awaiting sentencing for serious offences, including attempted hijacking.
Officers believe he is moving around Derry and Donegal.
PSNI Limavady yesterday issued an appeal on Facebook, which Donegan commented on.
An officer posted: “Hey Jimmy, don’t know if you’re aware but you’re currently wanted for arrest.
“You might want to think about having a wee chat with the old solicitor and handing yourself in. Pretty sure the judge won’t be thinking “oh, ha ha ha Jimmy, you’re good craic sir.”
Donegan replied: “PSNI Limavady have a good word with my solicitor.
“I think I need one with myself, but cheers for your continuous concern and support.
“Great to see yous out earning your wages boys.”
