Said Cllr Cusack: “I would like to thank Transport NI for the additional grit boxes to my area particularly Hatmore and Kylemore which I had requested last year.
“Given the topography of these developments, bad weather can be extremely challenging.
“When TNI carried out their assessment following my request, they discovered a number of boxes had gone missing and agreed to review the area.
“The Department has a code of practice and policy for supply based on population and location and all requests have to be fully examined.
“I am very pleased that these areas have now been positively reviewed and additional boxes provided, this has come as a welcome relief to many residents who found themselves in difficulties last Winter.
“I would ask that supplies be respected and containers left where they have been placed.
“We should all look out for each other in adverse weather and not deprive others who are equally in need,” she added.
