SINN Féin Councillor Sharon Duddy has highlighted the importance and benefits of saving energy as we approach the beginning of the cold weather period.
Commenting on Energy Saving Week, the party’s local spokesperson for Energy, Environment & Climate Change said:
“I would urge everyone to take a minute and read some of the energy saving tips recommended by the Energy Saving Trust.
“No one should have to live in a cold home anytime of the year and by following these simple but effective tips, they will able to achieve this.
“Energy saving week brings together partners from across the North of Ireland to help save energy and reduce the impact of energy use on the environment.
“Sinn Féin believe that the best way to help the environment and save energy is to reduce fossil fuel burning and move towards a renewable solution as discussed in Sinn Féin’s ‘Powering Ireland 2030’ document.”
