Derry City extend sympathy to ex-manager Kenny Shiels over death of his mother

Kenny Shiels mourning the loss of his mother who has sadly passed away

THE Board of Directors at Derry City Football Club have offered its sincere condolences to former manager Kenny Shiels on the sad passing of his mother Elizabeth.

In a statement, the club said this evennig: “We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Kenny, Dean and the entire Shiels family on the passing of Kenny’s mother Elizabeth.

“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.”

The club parted company with Shiels last month at the end of the season following a disastrous run of form.

Shiels has been replaced by Declan Devine.
