Civil Rights committee raise £1,000 for Mayor’s charity Foyle Search and Rescue

FOYLE Search and Rescue is £1,000 better off in selfless effort in saving lives in the city.

FSR is Mayor John Boyle’s chosen charity for his year in office with Derry City and Strabane District Council.

Mayor Boyle said: “I was delighted to receive £1,000 for my chosen charity Foyle Search and Rescue from the NI Civil Rights Commemoration Committee.

“The money was collected at last month’s 50th Anniversary Civil Rights Festival.

“The money will help deliver much needed services.”
