Traffic chaos on Dublin to Derry road after lorry overturns

POLICE are advsing that part of the main arterial route between Derry and Dublin is closed for a number of hours on Tuesday afternoon due to a crash.

A two-vehicle collision has seen a lorry go onto its side on the A5 Curr Road, Beragh which is located on the route between Omagh and Ballygawley.

Police have advised the road will be closed for a number of hours from 1 pm.

Sinn Fein MLA Declan McAleer posted a picture of the crash on Twitter and tweeted: “Hopefully no one hurt.

“Police doing traffic control but major tailbacks each way. Avoid if possible.”
