POLICE have appealed for information after children as young as ten were involved in stoning a bus in Derry earlier this week.
The PSNI say the incident happened around 9 pm on Monday night in the Hazelbank area of the city.
Fortunately, no one on board was injured and police are keen to track down those involved.
An officer posted on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page: “Around 9 pm on Monday night, a group of 4 kids around 10-13 years old threw stones at a local bus.
“One of them threw a brick that smashed a window.
“This doesn’t even make me angry it just makes me sad.
“This is a Service used by all sections of our Community; young people to get to clubs, folks going to and from work, older free bus pass users.
“Any one of our parents or grandparents could have been sat next to that window 🤕 We need to educate our kids that attacking Buses is not funny and not a game.
