THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Derry across Wednesday and Thursday.
The warning will be in place from 10 pm on Wednesday until 11 am on Thursday.
Icy patches are expected to develop on Wednesday evening and overnight into the early hours of Thursday.
There will also be some wintry showers about, mainly over hills and mountains, but also to some lower levels at times.
With the exception of high ground, most places will not see any snow settling.
The Met Office has warned the public of a risk of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
There is also likely to be ice on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
