SINN Féin Language spokesperson Councillor Kevin Campbell has welcomed the news that approval has been given for bilingual street signs to be erected in Grangemore Park and Farland Way.
He said: “This is good news as residents have been looking for the erection of the bilingual signage at Grangemore Park and Farland Way for some time.
“I would encourage other areas in the city to apply for the new signage.
“Its vitally important that the Irish language is rightfully recognised.
“I also believe it enriches us as a city and have no doubt this will further assist with the promotion of the Irish language within the wider community.”
