POLICE in Co Derry are appealing for information over damage caused to a children’s play park.
PSNI Maghberafelt say: “We are currently investigating damage to the fencing around the children’s play park in Castledawson.
“Considerable damage was caused some time between Friday tea time and Monday morning.
“This will cost a substantial amount of money to repair.
“If you seen anything or have any information on this please contact us at Magherafelt Station or by PM quoting CC339 21/01/19.”
Earlier this month, arsonists badly damaged a children’s play park in Eglinton, Co Derry.
It was closed for several days to allow repairs by council workers to take place and has since reopened.
A 15-year-old youth was later arrested for questioning.
He has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
