A JUVENILE has been arrested over a robbery in Derry on Sunday morning.
PSNI Foyle say: “Foyleside & The Moor NPT along with officers from ROU received an update from CID when we started duty earlier.
“Last night we arrested a juvenile male on suspicion of robbery and other offences in relation to an incident which happened earlier on Sunday.”
The youth has been taken to Strand Road police station for processing and questioning over the robbery.
Detective Sergeant Richard Donnell said: “We received a report just after 10.20 am on Sunday that a male had entered a shop on Blucher Street armed with what was described as a butcher knife and demanded money from the till.
“He subsequently made off with a sum of money from the till.
“The staff member was not injured, but they were left shaken.
“The suspect is described as being aged in his teens , and is reported to have worn a hat and a black rain jacket.”
