The Volkswagen Passat bearing false number plates seized by police in Galliagh
Officers had been trying to locate the blue Volkswagen Passat in recent days but the driver kept giving police the slip.
PSNI Foyle say: “Police received a report on Monday evening regarding a vehicle which had been evading ourselves, and committing numerous driving offences over the past few days.
“This vehicle was located in the Galliagh area.
“Checks were then completed which revealed the car was bearing false number plates.
“The vehicle was then seized, removing it from our streets and the hands of those driving it dangerously.
“This is another example of how swift actions can be taken when the public act in tandem with the Police.”
