DERRY City and Strabane District Council has this evening approved plans for new homes in the city.
The Planning Committee has given the green light to the £100 million investment to build the homes at Ballyoan in the Waterside area.
The massive investment comes from South Bank Square Ltd.
Mayor John Boyle said this evening: “I am delighted that the Planning Committee have today approved outline planning permission for 750 new homes in the Waterside area.
“This is a fantastic boost for the area, and really welcome news for home buyers.”
The properties will range in size from one bedroom to four bedroom homes.
