THE Brass Band League (BBL) are delighted to be bringing their popular Spring Festival contest back to the Alley Theatre in Strabane this Saturday, April 6, as guests of the North West Music Festival.
The day will see 12 of the best brass bands from Belfast, Carrickfergus, Comber, Enniskillen, Newtownabbey and Strabane performing in the Alley and adjudicated on their musical talents.
Awards on the day include Best Conductor, Brass Band League Band of the Year, Best Soloist and Best Percussion in the Championship Section, Second Section and Third Grade.
Paul Kirk, BBL Secretary said: “The BBL always look forward to bringing our event to Strabane as one of the big highlights of our contesting year.
“The facilities, hospitality and assistance offered by the teams at the Alley Theatre and the North West Music Festival are second to none – with great feedback received from both our bands and the audience year on year.”
The first band will be performing on stage at 11 am – and the competition will run until 6 pm.
