Murder victim Karol Kelly who was stabbed to death in Derry in March last year

TWO males and a teenager will go on trial later this year over the brutal stab murder of Karol Kelly in Derry last year.

The father-of-five sustained a fatal knife wound to the chest following an assault at a house party in Rosemount’s Grafton Street on March 4, 2018.

Michael Dunlop (18), of Fern Park, appeared at Belfast Crown Court today and pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Kelly.

He also denied inflicting the 35-year-old grievous bodily harm with intent.

Dunlop further pleaded not guilty to a third charge of perverting the course of justice.

Brothers Gary Anderson (22) and Sean Anderson (20), whose addresses were given as c/o of Hydebank Wood Young Offenders Centre, also faced the same court today and denied a charge of murdering Mr Kelly.

They are due to go trial this September and were remanded in custody.
