Man to face Derry court over charges of attempted murder and rape in the city

Man to face Derry Magistrates’ Court on attempted murder and rape charges

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Public Protection Branch have charged a 27 year old man with attempted murder, rape and a number of other offences.

He is due to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday, April 8, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

It is understood the charges relate to an incident in the Derry area yesterday, Sunday, April 7.
