SDLP Faughan Councillor 
has welcomed the commencement of work by DfI Roads to improve road markings on the Maydown Road.
Cllr Hastings said: “I have been lobbying DfI Roads for some time now on the need for proper road markings on the Maydown Road.
“This is a very busy road with four lanes.
“Over time we have seen the virtual disappearance of road markings which has rendered the road extremely dangerous.
“I am pleased that DfI Roads have listened to my concerns and are now taking action.”
