The first stop on their programme will be a visit to the Derry-Donegal border.
Over the past three days, first in London and then at a number of public events in Dublin, the House of Representatives speaker, Nancy Pelosi, made known her views about Brexit and how it might impact on the Good Friday Agreement.
When she addressed both Houses of the Oireachtas yesterday she said we must ensure that nothing happens in the Brexit discussions that imperils the Good Friday Accord.
This morning the visiting delegation will be brought for a brief visit to see for themselves the currently seamless border between Derry and Donegal.
The group includes House of Representatives member, Brendan Boyle, whose father comes from Donegal.
Another member is Richie Neal, a Massachusetts Congressman who will be awarded an Honorary Degree at Magee University later today for his contribution to US-Ireland relations.
The delegation will travel to Belfast later this evening.
But the absence of a sitting Assembly at Stormont, means the scheduled visit there, tomorrow morning, Good Friday, will be a low-key affair.
