SINN Féin Foyleside representative Hayleigh Fleming is to ask officials at Derry City and Strabane District Council to assess the greater Hazelbank and Creggan Road area in the upcoming review for play provision.

Hayleigh Fleming said: “In this part of the city there is a clearly a deficit in play facilities, I will be asking council officials to assess this area as part of the Council’s upcoming review into play provision.

“Sinn Féin have been key to securing almost nearly £1 million towards new community facilities in the Ringfort Road in which play facilities must be a key part of this development.

“Outdoor play facilities are an integral part of every community, encouraging children into active, healthy lifestyles,” she added.
