The 46-year-old, who is originally from Shantallow, lost his life when the car he was driving crash on the Glenshane Road on Tuesday night, April 23, around 11.45 pm.
Mr Healy was involved in a single vehicle collision near the Ponderosa Bar and Restaurant
Two women in the car were also injured.
They were initially rushed to Altnagelvin Hospital but have since been transferred to hospital in Belfast, where their condition has been described as “serious”.
A family notice reads: “HEALY, 23rd. April 2019. Suddenly as the result of an accident, PATRICK, (Patsy, Formerly Of Ardnamoyle Park).
“Beloved partner 0f Kerie-Ann, Loving Step-Father to Mia, dear son of the late Paddy and Moya, loving brother to Marie, Martin, Janet, Sean, Tina, Lisa and the late Caroline. A dear uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
“Funeral leaving his brother Martin’s home 16 Woodbrook West on Friday the 26th.
“Inst. at 9:20 A.M. to Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown, For Requiem Mass at 10:00 A.M.
“Interment afterwards in The City Cemetery.
“Sacred Heart Of Jesus Have Mercy On His Soul.
“Our Lady Of Lourdes Intercede For Him.”
His loving partner paid an emotional tribute to him after his tragic death, saying he would always be in her heart.
Kerrie Ann Holt said: “Rest in peace my love. You will never leave my heart.
“Life will never be the same without you.”
Mr Healy’s sister Janet Kerr added: “My beautiful baby brother I have loved all my life – you were my best wee buddy.
“I can’t believe I will never see your smiling face or hear your silly little laugh.
“You were loved so much, my world will never be the same ever again.
“I don’t think I will ever smile again, I can’t accept this, love you ’til I die.”
Mr Healy’s tragic death brings to 19 the number of people who have lost their lives on our roads in the first four months of this year.
Police have appealed for anyone who was travelling on the Glenshane Road on Tuesday night and who witnessed the collision, or anyone who has any mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident, to come forward.
