The former Mayor of Derry said: “I have lobbied DfI Roads on behalf of Claudy residents, calling for essential road maintenance within the Village.
“The area in and around Market Square experiences particularly heavy traffic.
“As a result road markings have become less visible and the number of potentially hazardous potholes has increased.
These repairs and refresh of markings including those for parking bays, need to be addressed as a matter of urgency.”
“I am also in the process of working with the Road Service to identify if extra parking facilities can be found in the Village to address congestion during busy times.
“I am hopeful that DfI will take these concerns on board and take action as soon as possible,” added Mrs Stevenson.
