Murdered journalist Lyra McKee shot dead in Derry three weeks ago by the New IRA
A police spokesperson said: “A number of items have been seized as a result and taken for further examination.
“No arrests were made and police enquiries are continuing.”
Three people were arrested over the murder of the 29-year-old journalist but were later released unconditionally.
Two men were remanded in custody last Saturday charged over rioting in Creggan prior to her murder.
