Man to face Derry court for stealing his car back from breakers yard
The suspect was arrested for questioning and taken to Strand Road police station for allegedly selling his car to a car breaker, then returning later with the spare key and stealing the vehicle back.
As a result, the man has been charged with theft of his car and driving while the subject of a disqualification period.
And he has been further accused of driving without a valid MOT certificate for his car and a number of related offences.
He has is due to face Derry Magistrates’ Court soon for a first remand hearing.
