MAYOR of Derry City and Strabane District Council Councillor Michaela Boyle has congratulated all those involved who took part in the successful County Derry Fleadh Cheoil which was held across Derry over recent days.

Said the Mayor: “I want to congratulate the organisers and all those who took part in the County Derry Fleadh Cheoil held in the city over the last week.

“This was a great showcase for Irish music, culture, and identity in our city.

“The talent of all those involved in the competitions, concerts and sessions held across the city was in inspiration.

“In particular it was great to see so many young people taking part in the County Derry Fleadh.

“I will continue to engage with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann both locally and nationally to build on the success of this event and to work towards the return of Fleadh Cheoil na Éireann to Derry.”
