Police and Sainsbury’s in Derry come to aid of ‘vulnerable woman’

SAINSBURY’S store on Derry’s Strand Road have been praised for helping with provisions for a woman who was found to have no fresh food in her home.

Writing on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page, Constable F said: “LPT3 attended a vulnerable female in distress today.

“A quick check of the property with her permission revealed no fresh food.

“A massive thank you to our local Sainsbury’s store who were keen to make a very generous donation to help the young lady along.

“This is what working with our community really looks like. We are here to help!

“LPT3 are very grateful.”
