Foyle Search and Rescue recover body of male from river

FOYLE Search and Rescue its volunteers had the sad task on Sunday of recovering a body from the River Foyle on Sunday morning.

FSR say on its Facebook page: “At 06:4 0am on Sunday 16/6/19 the PSNI activated Foyle Search & Rescues Pager System to reports that a person had been observed in the water.

“Our Emergency Response Teams responded with Mobile & Boat crews.

“On arrival at the area reported, ERT had the sad task of recovering the body of a Male from the River.

“All volunteers and staff at Foyle Search & Rescue offer our sincere sympathies and condolences to the family concerned at this difficult time.”
