POLICE have revealed that a three-figure sum of money seized as part of a drug investigation has gone to a charity in Derry which deals with addiction services.
At the end of court proceedings, the prosecution tells the judge to make an order that proceeds of crime money seized as part of a criminal investigation goes to a charity of the PSNI’s choice.
PSNI Foyle say: “£595.14 was donated to local charity, HURT, yesterday by Foyleside and The Moor NPT.
“This was forfeited from a drug case, and now donated to a charity that helps with addiction.”
