SINN Féin Councillor Mickey Cooper has said that a street deep clean will take part in the Barrs Lane area of Hazelbank this coming Thursday
Speaking today, Councillor Cooper said: “I had a number of requests for a deep clean of the streets to be carried out in the Barrs Lane area by local residents.
“I have arranged for the Council cleansing staff to carry out the work from 8am onwards on Thursday 25th June.
“I would urge residents who have a car and are not planning to be leaving the area that morning that it would be useful if you could park away from the streets whilst the work is ongoing./
“This will allow the staff maximum access to the footpaths to ensure no rubbish is missed.
“I hope this is of assistance to residents and if they need any further help they should not hesitate to contact me.”
